Practice with the PLL Recognition Trainer

Look at a cube with yellow on top and select its PLL name. Each set contains 10 questions and shows accuracy and recognition time, helping you identify the case before executing an algorithm.

  • Choose all 21 cases, the basic six, or weak cases first, then start a 10-question set. The basic six are Ua, Ub, H, Z, T, and Jb
  • Use the left/right rotation buttons or swipe the cube horizontally to inspect other sides. On a computer, drag left or right
  • Select a PLL name to see the answer and explanation. If unsure, use the button to reveal the answer
  • After answering, compare the top rows of all four sides. Look for headlights and adjacent matching colors before moving to the next question
  • Practice records show attempts, accuracy, and average time for each PLL. Average time includes correct answers only. Records are saved on this device and browser
  • Start without a time target and focus on accuracy, then aim for 5, 3, or 1 second. Review difficult algorithms in the FOP Loop Trainer
